AFS-952-B

The Cleveland AFS-952-B is an SPDT air pressure sensing switch with a 0.05 to 12.0" W.C. field-adjustable set point range and an 8-second (± 3 seconds) time delay relay sequence.

Applications:

  • Low Negative Pressure Cutoff (Shutdown Upon Insufficient Draft)
  • Low Positive Pressure Cutoff (Shutdown Upon Insufficient Pressure)
  • Low Differential Pressure Cutoff (Shutdown Upon Insufficient Difference Between Two Samples)
  • Low Draft Negative Pressure Cutoff Safety Switch for Combustion Draft Control Systems

The pressure switch monitors negative, positive, or differential pressure air flow and non-combustible gases.  The time delay prevents nuisance shutdowns due to normal draft fluctuations.

The AFS-952 is suitable for industrial and commercial air handling applications.  This component is designed for surface mounting on any flat, relatively stable surface free of vibration.

A:
The UniControl Cleveland Controls AFS-952-B and the AFS-952-55-B are both adjustable set point air pressure sensing switches.  Both have an 8-second delay and are built in the same housing and thus have the same dimensions.  The difference lies in the function with the AFS-952 being a "Low Draft (Negative Pressure) Cutoff Safety Switch for combustion draft control systems" and the AFS-952-55 being a "High Pressure Cutoff Safety Switch for combustion draft control systems."

According to the OEM technical bulletins, the general applications of the AFS-952 are:

• Low Positive Pressure Cutoff. (Shutdown upon insufficient pressure.)
• Low Negative Pressure Cutoff. (Shutdown upon insufficient draft.)
• Low Differential Pressure Cutoff. (Shutdown upon insufficient difference between two samples.)

and the general applications of the AFS-952-55 are:

• High Positive Pressure Cutoff. (Shutdown upon excess pressure.)
• High Negative Pressure Cutoff. (Shutdown upon excess draft.)
• High Differential Pressure Cutoff. (Shutdown upon excess difference between two samples.)
